If we're the 6, seems like we'll be paired up against the #11 seed - Stanford Cardinal.

#3 in a very top heavy conference behind UCLA & Oregon State. Stanford only played 12 games all year against top 45 RPI teams

As much as we deserved a MUCH higher seed...

If we're the 6, seems like we'll be paired up against the #11 seed - Stanford Cardinal.

....we probably have the 2nd easiest path to Omaha (Vandy is a shoo-in) in the conference.

Thanks, LT!!

Yep. 59 SOS. I think they are vulnerable

Vulnerable?? Man, we’ve been playing in SEC. We are battle tested. We can beat anyone we play. Time will tell if we will but we are not worried about anyone being vulnerable. Lets go Dawgs!!

UC Santa Barbara is 45-9 and was in the hosting mix. Wouldn't be surprised if they knock off Stanford.

It’s never easy getting to
Omaha but this is an absolute win for us. Miami is a solid young club but overal it’s the best we could have hoped for.

Number 6 seed doesn’t matter. . it’s the path getting there .. and in this case. I like it a lot. The path is VERY doable! Even matches against GA TECH at Omaha, which IMO is the best one could hope for..
Unless they reseed at the CWS.
Still, Bottom line, IMO, This bracket is State’s to lose and really should win it.

I love this matchup. You never know what teams have the next Bobby Dalbec waiting in the shadows, but I feel like we can handle Stanford at home. If we advance, we won’t see Arkansas or LSU until the final. I like the matchup, but I would love to see us hit the damn ball. We are going to need some runs because Miami can throw up some big numbers
