But, I think he will have his peaks and valleys just like every other freshman we have. Most of them are doing well against weak mid-major competition.
The SEC is going to be an adjustment period for them- when they see guys like Sonny Gray of Vanderbilt and Nathan KIlcrease for Alabama.
I do think his future is bright. He was drafted by the Rangers out of high school.
After yesterday's performance on the mound, I'm starting to think that he might be a weekend starter for us in a year or so once he refines some of his pitches. Jury is still out on that until he continues to have a couple more good outings.
We really won't know about this team until after they play Vanderbilt unless they lose a bunch of these games early and look bad a la Southeastern Lousiana last year.
