Michigan City is NOT one of those weak teams from NW Indiana like you might see out of Gary or Hammond areas. I saw the game and MC was more than capable physically and scheme-wise in the game vs H-F.
No, they have really stepped up their play the past few seasons after being a virtual door mat in the Duneland Conference for a long time..plus HF Coach Craig Buzea was head coach there for awhile so I'm sure it was added incentive to beat the Vikings. MC lost a few weeks back to Valpo, but bounced back and rolled over a decent Merrillville team last night. Over recent seasons HF has done well against the Raiders,but I recall the Brook knocking off the Vikes in week 9 a few seasons ago a win that got them in the playoffs..
