So, the Obama admin is going to allow wind turbines to kill upwards of 4200 eagles every year

So we're going to make you install something that if it does what it naturally does, we will fine you for doing it. [eyeroll]
Who is making anyone install a wind turbine farm? If you've read the proposed version (or existing rule) of the rule, some bird kill will be allowed. A company would only be subject to the possibility of fines if they exceed some number of kills.

The government is requiring energy produces to produce so much of their energy from alternative sources, such as wind. Hence the windmills at Mount Storm.

I have no problem with that or running them responsibly.

Do you remember when windmills were under attack? Eyesores, bird killers, noise polluters, habitat destroyers.........things suddenly change when the occupant of the White House changes.

Check the map out in the link then tell me that drillers aren't being allowed to drill close to the coast of the gulf. Do you just make stuff up? It seems so. Secondly, if you choose to drill in deep water, you better be able to handle any problem that comes up. The technology exists to safely drill in deep water, BP and its subs were at fault for the gulf oil spill.

Got that first hand from oil company employee that worked for a big time driller who was interviewed on 60 mins back in the 90's. He has his name on a bunch of LSU buildings. Just going by what they said, it was hard to get permits to drill close to shore.

The new wind turbine farm/bird rule is in a comment period but assuming it goes into affect, companies that exceed some bird kill number will get fined. So in both cases, you f'up, you get fined and that's not liberal crap.
they can kill up to 4200 birds per year for 30 years. Is that enough to keep the bird population from exploding?

So, it's all relative, the rigs in the gulf are 50-70 miles out, the ones off the coast of CA are like a mile.

You can see them from the shore in Corpus Christie. The water is filled with oil/tar. The hotels have wet wipes everywhere throughout the hotel to wipe the oil/tar off your body.

Pee on the Eagles and Ron Jaworski and Pat Haden for that matter. Pat Haden, of all people, beat Ron out to start at QB. Never looked at the Rams again until Mark got there (and they were in St. Louis).
