He's been made to look stupid due to his assessment of Tyler Russell and our offense. He claimed Mullen couldn't do it. Well, he has. Russell's a record setting QB, and our offense in the Mullen Era is the best it has ever been, even with a makeshift OL the past 2 years (thanks Croom). And we'll be even better next year with a Russell/Prescott combo much like Leak/Tebow, with a veteran OL and RBs. Then we go to Prescott full time in 2013 with other spread players around him. Would we be better with a dual threat like Cam Newton? Sure we would, all teams would. That doesn't prove Coach34's point, it just proves that teams are better with great players.

So, he takes up for the defense, which was torched repeatedly this year. When the whole board disagrees, he tries to act like he's an expert. Lunacy.

Offense was more of a problem than defense in the only game we lost that we should have won.

We have real problems on defense. But we also looked like **** on offense against a mediocre defense because we got out schemed. We can win with a defense that gets three turnovers in the first half. Not going to beat national championship conttenders, but we can get to 8 or 9 wins. Defnitely not happy about the performance of our defense this year, but if we improve on the DL, we should be able to get through next year without defense killing us. But if we don't figure out some **** on offense, how our defense plays won't matter. It's great that we can execute against weak out of conference opponents and dumpster fire SEC defenses, but we can't get shut down by mediocre SEC defenses and expect to get beyond the Music City Bowl.

This. Anytime a team was 3rd and 9+, it was auto-17-ing-matic. I would love to see the conversion % for our opponents whent it was 3rd and VERY long.

You're wrong and we both know it. You need to move on to something else, cause that ******** aint flying

I'm not sure you're reading any of the other comments. No one is coming to your aid peaches. Everyone is agreeing with me (that you're full of it). I don't have to call you names, but it's fun so why not? Let's just say what happened. You mouthed off. I went and researched and then *****-slapped your ***. If you'd research first and then mouth off, maybe you wouldn't find half the board laughing their asses off at your ineptitude.

You weren't right on Stansbury either.

Renardo Sidney got Stans fired. Not any of the ******** you spewed for years. And that whole 'Stans had peaked after 10 years' crap? Ha, you were spewing it in 2005.

It's like you're just a pissed off chump small town coach who never made it in Mississippi.

I swear I don't know how we always end up with DCs with this philosophy. Seems like every one.

Coach34 *Heart* Wilson

C) The defense wasn't as awful as some of you are trying to make it out to be- but the really good offenses did make it look bad.

I don't know what defense you were watching this year. You can't talk bad enough about our defensive play this year. We had some interceptions, but how many homerun passes did we allow?

Don't throw the blame on Cherrington. He was actually the one who exceeded expectations. (I do agree that Evans was mismanaged this year).

Don't give the offense a free pass. They couldn't stay on the field. 1-13 3rd down conversions in Oxford. Inexcusable.

How do you come up with 4

When Saulsberry and Lawrence were returning starters? Plus if you Want to count Jackson as being new last year, you also have to count Claussel as new this year. So 3-2, not a big difference considering a JUCO transfer as well.

Day, Clausell, Carmon...and Smith was a 1st year starter as well but had played a good bit in 2010

Clausell and Carmon played the same position and Clausell only spot started in 2011 because of Carmon's injury. So I get to count him in 2012 too right?
