While there are a ton of signs out there that this noose thing wasn't real, we don't know for sure and likely never will.

But it most certainly didn't pass the smell test Sunday night. And it still doesn't Tuesday afternoon.

Sounds like nascar needs to hire a new, non-racist garage door make that doesn’t put hate symbols on their doors

My goodness.....before long people will be offended by the lasso cowboys use to rope calves with in team roping and it will be illegal to rope a calf. I don’t know where the line in the sand will be drawn but its time. People are absolutely ignorant about pushing this racist envelope and 90% on this board are the ones doing the pushing. Everything is NOT a symbol of evil. People tie knots to hold things...the end.

Your argument is that NASCAR, which holds 5+ races a year at that racetrack, with 39 other cars, mistook a door pull, that's in all the other garages, for a noose as a mistake....

And that Richard Petty, who raced NASCAR in over 1,100 races also mistook the door pull, which you say is common in all the garages, for a noose....


And your Primary source is in Cyrillic.....

First off, the sources on this thing are completely nonsensical / unreliable. Secondly, all the info out there that’s been published is that Wallace wasn’t ever even there when the alleged noose was found or removed, so he apparently never even saw it. So even if the whole thing is a hoax, unless he put it there himself (and camera footage should show that pretty clearly if it happened), I’d say that any “Bubba Smollet” talk would be premature.

Our dog has destroyed a pull toy to the point that it looks like a noose, and I've seriously considered throwing it away.

why does it appear bay 5's "noose" (aka door pull) appears untied? this is not good for NASCAR.

The only people with access to the garage are either his team or Nascar officials. (Rules people and such). This isn't like some open door where any old Alabama redneck can just walk in with ease. The average person can get about as close to the president as they can one of those garages.

Yea assuming those images are legit, it def makes NASCAR look dumb. Not sure we'll see a retraction or correction though. Personally, I think it would be really awesome to see them come out and make the correction just to show that there can be nuance and critical thinking in all of this.

ive lived in Mississippi for 37 years and im trying to think of the dumbest, most racist redneck i have ever met and i still couldnt see them doing something this dumb to send a message. i think its far more likely the rope broke and bubba or one of his team found it and took offense. thats where we are in this country unfortunately.

lol I Call ********. It should be real easy to see who put this alleged Noose up. 100% ********. Bubba hasn’t won a race in his 4 year career and it’s the only way he can become relevant. See Colin Kap. Kap supposedly kneeled for something that caused 9 deaths this past year. He really kneeled for attention because his *** lost his job to Blain Gabbert.

It used to be pretty easy to get garage/pit/victory lane passes. In early-mid 2000’s you could include passes with your ticket purchase if I remember correctly. Times have certainly changed though.

I’m sure with Covid all the pit and garage passes have been eliminated and it would be extremely hard to get in that area without proper credentials.
