So unless he retires... we're pretty much stuck with Stansbury right?

If so, he should hire Billy Gillispie as an assistant and offensive game coordinator/recruiter. He should also have a grad assistant solely responsible for driving Billy Gillispie around so he can't get another DUI.

We have a new AD. There are no more sacred cows and protecting the good ol' boys.

If Stansbury doesn't straighten up- he will be gone by the end of next year at the latest.

I am not saying that he is for sure gone this year, although I think he certainly should be.

If he does not turn it around, in a BIG way, he will be gone at the end of next year.

So basically, he is going to be fired, at the latest, next year because he just doesn't posses the ability to coach these guys up to where they should be.

I actually expect him to announce his retirement after the season, I have a feeling it will be from pressure applied from the university and he will move to some made up position in the AD department.

That would have been the best solution for everyone. We could not have fired him after last year and looked good given his resume. Assuming we don't make a miraculous run, which isn't completely out of the question given the talent that we do have, he isn't going to get a quality job offer after the drama this season has seen.<div>
</div><div>I would bet that Meo talked him out of taking the Clemson job, and now he is probably regretting it. He's on thin ice here now. The future offers will not be close to Clemson quality if he is let go.</div>

I like how you did that. you make one statement that is sensible. then get slightly less sensible. then make a jack-*** opinion statement couched in terms of factual content, then lastly make a statement that is utterly ignorant. the reader has to get all the way done before being fully convinced he has wasted his time with your post. nice. <div>
</div><div>why would you people think he's going to retire after assembling moultrie, sidney, possibly having bost back, and putting together this class? </div>

Next year wont be any better. Kodi aint bad, Ravern is the conference's leading scorer, Benock is decent, and we lost by 20+ and were never in the game. Those guys coming in a true freshman wont give us what we get from Kodi and Ravern <span style="text-decoration:underline">next year</span>. They have more top end talent than them, but Kodi and Ravern are better than those Freshmens will be in 2012.

We're still going to be an NIT team next year with The Recruiter as head coach. And he looks sick of dealing with them and it. He doesnt look like the same guy on the sidelines
