those three and add the EMCC qb and it's very difficult to be anything but happy about this class.

Texas is interested in our EMCC QB recruit who won a national title. Guess that means he'll go to Texas and win a Heisman instead of coming here.

Regardless, we have a kick *** class.

This class is now about retention. Retain the current commits. If we add 3 more solid players to the group already committed, this class will be a huge success, even without Channing Ward. In the mix are a QB, Richie Brown, B. Brown, A. Moore, and A.J. Jefferson.

get run over by us. No problem, move along to oxford...we'll block you with Siddoway, but good luck in the land that fun forgot. I understand with your brother and all.

Wallace has got to know, Texas will have 18-20 qb's to choose from the Texas 5A/4A ranks. they have a 4* committed already, and they get whatever they want. David Ash, and Case McCoy already on the roster...McCoy isn't transferring is my bet. 1st yearin the systemunder the former Boisecoordinator Bryan Harsin. McCoy will stick withit becauseof family loyalty toUT. He was better than Ash this year I thought....just young. We should have a great shot at Wallace if logic plays a role.

hate it for Ward, hopefully he'll be OK and not get caught up in the obvious problems in Oxford.

This is the best class since----Jackie's last few?

if all QBs return with eligibility except for Gilbert (who definitely is transferring) AND they add Wallace they would have SIX QBs next year. Even IF McCoy were to transfer, which I also doubt he will, they will have FIVE. We, on the other hand, WITH Wallace will only have THREE because I don't see us getting Alford or Liggins at this point.

Alford is going to announce at the Army All American game. Supposedly LSU is out of the picture after their commitment from Gunner Kiel.

Guy like that could influence others on the team. We are not that kind of team. Dan & staff have shown they can take lower-rated kids with the right attitude and get better results than the higher-rated kids with questionable attitudes. The one caveat is if Ward is saying this just to convince himself that going to Ole Miss is a good choice for his family. He may very well not actually believe this deep-down, but is forced to justify a decision most of us are expecting.

And so everyone thought he was a lock to Alabama, LSU or Auburn?<div>

I guess you could do without the following players as well:

Norwood
Dockery
Willie Evans
Omarr Conner
Quenton Culberson
Deljuan Robinson
Titus Brown (After 2 win season)
Gabe O'Neal (After 2 win season)
Keith Fitzhugh
Jamar Chaney
Antonio Johnson
Derek Pegues
JC Brigone
Anthony Dixon
Kyle Love
Derek Sherrod
Quentin Saulsberry
Addison Lawrence
KJ Wright
Dominic Douglas
Marcus Green

That is just a few players that signed with MSU after 3 win seasons, some signed after multiple 3 win seasons in a row. Im assuming "winning wasn't important" to those players, and Im pretty sure they played their *** off for MSU.

Hadn't really kept up with crootin this year as closely as I have in the past, especially after all the shady **** went down in Philadelphia last year and the Cam thing. I stay out of the details.

since they were willing to go to a team that wasn't winning. I think the point is there is a difference between past record and future. I believe Ward was simply saying "I'm not concerned about recent win totals, only future"

If you actually watched that 2:30 interview and what you took away from it was that Channing Ward does not care if he wins or loses, I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

Player after player have signed with OM and MSU after just miserable years for each school on the field.

Im not sure how you can say when a school like OM or MSU beats out a player that had the opportunity to go to AL or LSU after years of just terrible on the field records that "winning isn't important".

At the end of the day this is all pretty silly. Ward has the potential to be a difference maker on the defensive side of the ball. Im not saying he will be, but he has that potential. Just a few weeks ago you made up that we were somehow 3rd for his services, which you clearly made up to make yourself feel important and make it appear that you had your ear to the ground in football recruiting in MS. Its funny that we were third behind MSU and AL, and AL isn't even in his top 3.

MSU signed Byrdsong, Dapoo, Norwood and Nick Turner all after winning 3 games

Culberson was either 5 star or real close after back to back 3 win seasons.

Pegues signed in 2005 after 3 wins or less from 2001-2004;

Considering from the 2001 season until 2008 season there was only one season where MSU won more than 3 games, any recruit signed during that time period didn't care about winning or they wouldn't have signed with a school that was having a losing record.

He discussing what factors go into making his decision. I think it's fairly plain that he's saying how good a team currently is won't be as important has is family and what they think is best. You can make this into whatever you like, but I disagree with how you're spinning it.

He has to go to Ole Miss. No sour grapes here..these kids are in tough situations. The only sad part is if in his heart he felt like playing at another school would serve him better.

Big decision time: Aberdeen defensive end Channing Ward
will announce his college choice tonight during the Under Armour
All-Star Game (6:30 p.m., ESPN). <span style="font-weight: bold;">He told Rivals.com yesterday that </span><span style="text-decoration: underline;">he's narrowed his list to three schools</span><span style="font-weight: bold;">: Alabama, Ole Miss and MSU.</span>

Rumors
are strong that Ward, a four-star prospect, will choose Ole Miss. But
this is recruiting we're talking about, so I won't believe anything
until he puts a hat on. And maybe not even then.</p><div style="overflow: hidden; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); text-align: left; text-decoration: none; border: medium none;">

Are you illiterate? He said "winning doesnt matter". How hard is that to understand? You are the one who is spinning.
