He'll play quarterback this fall, but he's also played running back, wideout, safety and linebacker. He recorded 2,300 all-purpose yards, including 1,473 on the ground, and had 19 total touchdowns to lead the Jags to the 6A quarterfinals.

I'm afraid we may be in an uphill battle for this guy. I think his dad may have played for or have a strong friendship with the Lousville coach. maybe be wrong but that's what I've read.

Petrino was QB coach for 2 years and OC for 1 for the Jaguars when Smith was playing there. Still glad we offered his son. Kid is a good player. Looks a lot better to me than Singleton did when he played at MC. And I haven't heard the stories about his attitude I heard about Singleton either.

He really doesn't have an offer but he claims one. The first MSU knew of him having an offer was when Yancy tweeted it. MSU site mods asked the staff and they said no offer. I know Paul reported that. He claims an offer so his profiles reflect that. He has a verified sparq camp 40 time of 4.8+ so that hurst him as far as SEC offers. You watch his film and he doesn't look slow at all though. Really good HS player but I doubt he plays in the SEC. If you made me guess now, I'd say he favors Louisville. If they'll take him, I bet he goes up there. Former teammate Jimmy Terry is there now. Smith has already visited up there. If Ole Miss won't take Keenan Barnes, I bet he ends up at Louisville too.
