No team toughness and the willingness to scrap after every ball. I had given Sydney a reprieve and allowed him to fit his talent to the team but the elbow to the face where he went down for a few minutes said something about him. It may have hurt like hell but you dont show weakness to the opponent. And from that it maybe highlighted the "softness" that may exemplify this team to a point. How do we give 18+ offensive rebounds to GA? Even Moultire did not seem to have the energy or refuse to lose attitude today. Is that an underlying"team chemistry" thing....?
Some say this team is similar to 96 team but if you look back at that 96 team and think of the spirit, toughness and energy of a Daryl Wilson playing defense and making those dagger threes, Russell Walters banging in the middle, Bullard with the scowl who could play defenseand always a 3pt threat, Whit Hughes going in to the seats for everyloose ball. Dampier and Jones were a little more finesse but there was a certain energy and toughness with that team that this one doesnt have........
Stansbury needs to show them a 96 highlight film and then find a boxing ring and let them put on the gloves. They are to soft....
