So what is different about our basketball team?

I'm of the opinion that Stans puts a team together but his coaching or his leadership style simply leads the kids to not pay attention to anything he says. So the reason for this years' meltdown are only a few:

a. We are on the downswing of talent that every team goes through. Stans gambled on some kids that just arent as good as advertised. Poor evaluations.

b. Assistant coaching. Losing Kirby killed what court coaching support and credibilty with the players Stans had.

c. Stans actually can coach as the records of previous teams and stats show, he's just in some sort of weird slump.

and, of course, one for Coach34

d. Nothing is different. This year is the inevitable talent/attitudeerosion of a team coached by a man who isnt really coaching at all.

it is the same drama as usual, and it has gotten old with more and more people, me being one of them. Of course it doesn't matter a whole lot what I think since my Bulldog Club contribution is miniscule compared to most. The new seating plan at The Hump is getting more and more difficult to sell. That will have more to dowith how things turn out than most anything else.
