So what is the chance that Tyler Russell plays this Saturday?

I actually think we might could have a shot at a bowl game this year. Do you play Tyler if he gives you a better chance or just hope that Lee and Relf can play well enough not to lose? If we had Tyler in on some of those plays we probably have a few more TDs. One in particular was the Int that Wilder didn't break up. He was 5 yards past the DB and Lee just didn't have the arm to get it to him.

He's still a Freshman, and putting him up against a bunch of smart guys like Georgia Tech might not be the best idea. However, I'm optimistic about next year, even if MState doesn't get Cam Newton. The Bulldogs in 2010 would have Chris Relf, and Tyler Russell would be a 6' 5" version of Tyson Lee with a better throwing arm.

that Russell plays is if Lee and Relf get hurt. That's the only logical reason that he would play.

you know that we would have more TD's judging by what you have seen him do on a college playing field?

Hell, Russell is currently 4th string. He is not going to play this year. At all. Its not even being considered

I seriously doubt that is true. If Lee and Relf both got hurt, I'd be shocked to see anybody but Russell taking snaps for us.

may or may not be "4th String" officially, but we did see Riley Saunders come in against JSU, not TR, FWIW.

that supposedly has some info- said he is running with the 4th group right now...</p>

And i'll say this- if he's been throwing picks against our secondary- I dont want him to play. I'm 40 years old and I could complete passes against our secondary</p>

I can't believe I'm saying this, but seriously, let it go. Russell is not playing this year unless both Relf and Lee come up injured. Now please stop this nonsense, it causes my great physical discomfort to agree with Coach34...

I've been hearing that the coaches really like what they're seeing in this kid. Even if UT or someone else slips in and steals CN, I still like what we've got in Russell/Relf/Stegall going forward. Don't get me wrong though, we need CN in a bad way.</p>

it would be incredibly ridiculous to burn Russell's RS in a blowout win like that. Saunders was seeing action only because there was no point in us leaving Lee or Relf out there to get hurt when we were up by 38, and burning Russell's RS to take a snap or two is illogical.
