Bruce Springsteen did a pre-game performance in his invisible dome without a mic.
I would say the surprise was the lack of a surprise, but even that wasn't surprising. Few, if any, people on these boards have anything remotely close to "inside info"
I got to see and talk to Eric LeGrand in the Purple lot. That was my surprise. Very cool.
Reading Twitter, there were two items of note: Ray Rice is in the building and Eric LeGrand and Mohamed Sanu led the crowd pregame in the R-U chant. I'm guessing that second note was the planned surprise.
if that was the big surprise, than we can no longer pay attention to a couple of posters around here

Love EL and Sanu, (and this is not against them at all) but are you kidding me???? Our marketing/media/game day operations department, or whoever thought this was newsworthy really needs to go back to school.

Right - and unfortunately them speaking in the middle of the RU chant killed the chant too - that is what is known as a lose/lose. Sounds like whoever was responsible for our BIG SURPRISE put about 3 minutes of prep work into it. Sorry huge pet peeve of mine to over-promise and under-deliver.
