So, when do we find out whether the Borges rumor has legs? ...

I'll have a hard time buying it til I see it on the ESPN crawler.

I will say that, if it's true Croom and Byrne are considering shitcanning McCorvey immediately to announce Borges mid-season, it tells me something. Like pretty much everything else this incompetent fool says, Croom's 'baghdad bob' comments about his recruiting class being "still with us," is complete ********. This would be a desperation move to keep this recruiting class together. With Nutt in Oxford, Saban next door, and somebody decent (like Muschamp) potentially settling in at AU, Croom's sorry-*** recruiting ability is going to get exploited even worse next year. We can't afford to lose anybody in this class we've got verballed. Byrne knows this.

at the end of the season. Mainly he doesn't know our players, regardless of him being a WCO coach, the terminology would be different, and I believe he is still drawing money from Au. If Woody does step down, I see CroomBall just taking over the play-calling like he did in his first year. I've never heard of an assistant being hired in the middle of the season but I rarely do you hear of being fired in the middle of the season as well. I just don't see CroomBall going for Borges on our staff this year.
Anyway, I wish Woody all of the best as for as health issuses, I hope his health is under control regardless.

brother, kissing cousin, and their joe the plumber said they "DID KNOW MCCORVEY WAS OUT. YEAH, IT'S LIKE A DONE DEAL AFTER TODAY."

It was all about health reasons. Not one of them mentioned Borges.

I think it's Croom on the way out. Hey.

1)If Croom does come back
2)If Woody is out...and I'm assuming immediately
3)If Borges is hired today

If Borges joins the staff today, as some have implied....no, I don't see him taking over the offense this year. But what it does is let's him get to know the players and what they can and can't do in live games. Come spring he'll have that knowledge to "hopefully" be able to install a competant offense, instead of learning players names and what they can and can't do at that time.

If Byrne is set on Croom coming back, and I believe he does, this is the best scenario we can hope for.

If Croom would just let someone else take over the offense that knows what they're doing, I think we can be successful.

B/c it means that change will only be piecemeal, and not real change.. Its too early to say you're our new OC when we could have a typical MSU late season meltdown, then....there will be blood

The only thing that could have possibly put his job in jepeordy was losing to MTSU. Croom gets one more year, period.
