This whole theoretical of who would be hired is null. He's not going anywhere. 50 mil buyout, lifetime contract.

Now, that being said, things have to change. I heard that there was some talk on getting Orlando back, which I would be on board with. Not sure if that's legit, but Cal needs to find some of that original Mojo. Got to show value to recruits that Kentucky is THE school. We don't have that right now.

I'm not willing to let a 9 mil a year coach have a throw away year. Why should he be afforded to have a year like this with the money UK gives him?
Why does deserve another year? because of what he did 6 years ago? I don't understand. 73% winning percentage the last 6 years.

73% winning percentage, when we're not even including his great years.. is still pretty good to me.

When did we know that 1AD was over for Kentucky? Because some people here like to say it was 6 years ago.. but thats not when we KNEW it was on its way out.

I think Cal is realizing the way he won at Kentucky for the last 10 years, is likely done for, and that changes needed to be made. But I think its insane to say he was supposed to change this 6 years ago after we just went 38-1.

If he struggles again next year, I will likely be ready to move on.

Hey shadow. You literally just stole that from another poster..........it was ******** when he said and it’s ******** when you say it. It’s a perfect analogy. The plane took off but it was a rough flight. If you rooted for the pilot to die then you rooted for the passengers to die too. That’s sort of how plane crashes work and it’s parallel with team sports
9-16. Yep. The plane was flying high. Bill ****. You related to Cal?

So you're ok with a 73% winning percentage form here on out with Cal?

Well, when your 1st years produced a 83% winning clip and your last 6 produces a 73% clip, something is wrong and needs changed. Living off previous years does help future results.

Your timeline is your timeline. Not mine. I've seen enough. Haven't heard or seen anything indicating Cal will cahnge. If you have, please relay it.

Thats not what I'm saying, and it hasn't been for months. Although I dont think 73% IF you can still find success in the tournament, is completely unacceptable.

But there's no reason, yet, to assume Cal can't change his philosophies, and its unacceptable to think he was just supposed to change things overnight in 2015. I think he's going to make some changes. I also think some things will change by nature.. our teams will be more experienced. Cal could not do a thing different in coaching next year, and we'll win a ton more games because our guys are that much more experienced.

If you think that Cal shouldn't live off his past results, then by nature you have to give him a chance to fix THESE past few seasons.

Again, if next year isn't a drastic improvement.. you'll find me asking for the next coach.

You really are bad at this stuff. Really bad. Goodness.

Your Cal worship is creepy. He doesn't love you back. Quit riding by his house hoping to see him outside. You're lovesick. Ha ha ha

Not a cal lover. Not one bit. I want to win. I’ve said this a thousand times. But I will not root for the coaches failure because I don’t like him. If he fails then our team fails. I don’t care about politics. I only want to win. The coach and coach players will win or lose together.

he isn’t leaving and he isn’t getting fired. So where does that leave us? Go cats. As long as cal as the coach then I’ll say go cal.

Im amazed that 73% is acceptable with you. Truly am. I think UK as a program is around 77 or 78%.

Why do think he's going to change? Not just because you think he will. Why? Based on what?

You want to give him another year. I respect that. I don't. What guarantees more success next year just because they have experience? I hope they all come back, but they still lost 16 games. Experience definitely helps but you need talent too. Need a stud or two to go with that experience.

You still have to play the right players. You still have to make adjustments and adapt during the game. Go make a play is not a strategy or a plan.

Show me where I rooted for his failure. Show me. Wanting Cal ot leave does not equal wanting him to fail. Thinking UK will fail unless Cal is here weak thinking.

I guess I just don't see how 78% can be acceptable but 73% induce rage. Were not talking about like a 50% win percentage. Im also curious how much this season alone contributed to the 73 number. Thats not to say we erase this season.. oh it counts. But I bet his winning percentage the prior 5 years is more in the 77 to 79 range.

He changes his style when he got to UK. The 1AD era is over, I think he has no choice but to change or go to the G-league.

I also think that by nature, his teams will perform better because they will be more experienced. They always are.

I think that its very difficult to design offense and execute when your team is all freshman. It take months. But with guys coming back next year, some of our execution problems will fix themselves..and I believe Cal will be able to have a better strategy.

And if not.. we start thinking about a replacement. I bet he's gone next year if things go south and it might not even be because we let him go.

Dude. You chose to save cals legacy over a deep tournament run lol. You typed that. You chose A

I will be fair. The rooting for failure comment needed to go more towards @KyFaninNC. That’s more his MO. For that I apologize. I was just shocked that any UK fan would choose A or C

Take another Stab at reading the post shadow. Slower this time. You can do it.
Been my experience when someone dodges a question, they are admitting. How are you and Cal related? Erin, Brad ,Ellen? You showed up here a few weeks ago and you intended to show your superior fan hood. You ain’t jack ****, just here to start trouble. Still think you are LeadBelly.

I'd say you're shocked alot. Like when electricity works or a phone rings.

A was for Cal to leave and then save his legacy if I recall correctly. So you've been working up a sweat incorrectly. Another day at the office huh?

Well, Cal was at 83% his 1st 6 years. 73% his last 6 years. 10% percent reduction. Most place and businesses I know have issue with a 10% loss in production and return on investment.

I think you're almost getting my point. The reason he struggles with a good year then a bad year the last 6 years is roster retention and lower level recruits but he still keeps doing the same things.

Experience will help, but that alone will not be enough. Need some elite recruits or grad transfers to go with returnees and incoming players.

I expect next year to be some better but if there is a bunch of players leaving. I don't.

B was a deep tournament run. Why would you choose anything other than B? Ever. Why do you care about cal’s legacy? Maybe you should turn loose of his nuts.

Show me a quote where I root for Cal’s failures. Show me a quote where I stated I want Cal fired? I will wait. All I have ever said was I wanted him to leave. Better get to work, you have a ton of searching to do. I been on here since 2005.
Ah I suppose this is your question. Well you post like a whole lot so I will not be sifting through all your stuff looking for quotes. So let’s get this straight....you DON’T want Cal fired? That wouldn’t make you happy?

You spouted off that I wanted him fired, show the proof. Stop asking stupid questions and show proof. Or, you can confess you are just a trouble maker and make up lies about other posters. I have seen you do that to more posters than me. So, are you just a liar that is full of ****, or are you going to back up your statement? Choice is yours. It’s been over 12 hours, we are all waiting your proof.

Well I don’t man, I guess we could settle straight up right now. Would it make you happy if Mitch came on tv today and told everyone that cal has been terminated? Cause I don’t care near enough to search for anything. I think your general attitude and posts indicate where you stand and pretty much every issue on this board

Returning experience will definitely help next year but we just went 9-16 with these players. Do most of you realize that every other team in college basketball will return most of their players, including Duke? This is a new concept for us but this is how most teams operate and most of those teams didn't go 9-16 so why will next year be so much better? Tshiebwe should be an improvement over Sarr. Collins is a similar player to Jackson but more raw offensively. Hickman better be a jet with the ball because he is short and is another stick-man. Justin Powell would certainly help offensively if he comes. Boston should be much improved IF he comes back. Next year will obviously not be as bad as this one but I also don't think we'll be a consistent top 20 team all year either. So maybe another S16 ceiling. I guess I should be excited for a S16 ceiling since it'll be 3 years between tournaments but I feel like we have conditioned ourselves to lower our standards.

Nope. Not going there. All you do is ask questions. You want me to prove your false accusation. Not how it works. You accuse somebody of something you need proof. I am asking you to show proof. You tell us. Did you conjure that up on your mind, or were you speaking truth? This is not that hard. Show proof of what you stated was a fact about something I said.

I never get into or even think about who is coming or leaving. I just wait till whomever is here and watch them play a few games and judge from there.
