It ain't one bad year. He has earned no free pass. He gets paid to produce. The last 6 years he is winning at a 73% pace. That is only above Sutton and BCG. The Cal that came to UK left after his title and HOF.
The last 6 years is plenty of enough data to see that Cal has declined in recruiting and winning.
I don't want Stevens or Donovan. Never have. Never have even considered them. Cal lost his drive and fire.

The early season loss posts are useless. It does however let us reading your post know that you aren't up to times in today's game.
You can most definitely have a program that you wish for. Recruit 3-4 year players that can't play as freshmen. Have a team that you get to know and learn about. Once every 3-4 years have a team that's capable of making a run in march and probably gets ya an elite 8 worst case scenario. That team looks alot like tennessee, Virginia, texas tech. If that's what you want fine, there's nothing wrong with that.
To be one of the teams that consistently has a chance to make a run every season you have to do things differently. Recruit more athletic kids with hopes you can refine their game in 3 months. Don't get caught up in wins early on if it is to the detriment of your players learning what it takes to be good in march. Uk has proven that it has a different approach and it works. 9 tournaments in and 7 elite 8's.

a large portion of our fans not knowing when we stopped being the team is the problem .......... people want to ignore the warning signs and have hope Cal has the answers to always keep us on top. We havent been a 1 seed since our wisconsin loss... how can you say we were the top program since Cal got here when we couldnt even finish in the top 4 of the season since the wisconsin loss? years 1-6....... yeah , that was the golden era of Cal and not even he can duplicate that.. years 7-12...... thats when Gonzaga, Nova... If we ran a program like you want and had this type of season I would agree we would be in a world of hurt. Thank God we don't, and aren't a middle of the pack program. Looking on paper at this season looks really bad. If you watched the games you know we were in every game except Maybe 2 early on. That can be attributed to not having a play maker to go get a basket at the end. Say we won all of the games we ended up losing at the 4 min mark on. We would have probably 4-5 losses on the season. Would you still be saying the program needs a change? That was one player away from happening.

There are plenty of facts to state, I post them daily. He asked what I thought he wanted out of the program and that is what a large majority on here want. The 91-98 uk teams.

I am okay with this approach. The way Cal recruits, we could be in the FF next year or be in the NIT.
