I was there in Liberty Bowl Stadium to watch the 4-0 Bulldogs play the 0-3 Memphis State Tigers. A guy named Bob Sherlag, a WR for Memphis State, caught a multitude of passes for almost 200 years, and the Tigers whipped us 33-13. We lost the rest of the games that season, finishing 4-6. I was a freshman the next year 1966, and we won 6 games during the four years I was there, half of which were in 1969.
