And the Liberty Bowl is not in Orange Mound. Why do people think the liberty Bowl is in a bad part of town? The North edge of Orange Mound is close, but the separation on that side is pretty pronounced with a multi-track rail bed forming a separation (at one point forming a 15 foot high wall). I bike and walk all around the Liberty Bowl with absolutely zero fear. Here is a better look:

I've lived here for 10 years and I just don't where people get the fear from....

Not sure what happened with the rest of my post, but after the <<<< it was supposed to say just joking. Also missing was where I wrote it's about a 30 min drive for me and I'm going with 1 more. I guess my iPhone doesn't like my impatience with it.

1. I had to laugh at the "not my thing" comment for Cooper Young. I agree with you, for the record.
2. While I know that you know this, some might not realize that the area that you circled as your neighborhood includes Chickasaw Gardens which has some incredible, multi-million dollar houses. It kind of reminds me of the Shady Grove of that area with smaller lots.

Do you live anywhere near Humes? My mother-in-law lives on S Humes so we normally just walk to the games from her place.

Down on Alexander between Central and Poplar. I've walked to the stadium many times but I usually don't for a game. I try to park somewhere back near your mother-in-law. Might be tough with the dozens of Memphis fans flooding the area but there should be some parking. Actually, sarcasm aside, I wonder if the Memphis fans will show up for this game. It's going to be a dismal season for them.
