Evan Mitchell.

Still got Pollo pretty well-rested as well, only having thrown 22 pitches yesterday...

seems like UK struggles more with lefties...atleast they did with Ross Mitchell and their best hitters hit from the left side.....so I say go with Routt if he can go and bring in Pollo for some relief. Have Evan Mitchell ready for Sunday if we make it.

The key is to be sure he is rested and 4 full days rest, I think, is enough rest. We are going all out to win this thing now and putting our stud on the mound in the biggest game of the year is almost a given, in my opinion. Stratton should be furious if he doesn't get the nod on Sunday (should we win tomorrow). <div>
</div><div>ETA: We don't have enough fresh arms to do anything otherwise... We don't have the luxury of being in UK's position of getting a 2 day vacation throughout the tourney... if we go to Sunday, that's 6 games in as many days... and there aren't many teams in the country that can stretch a pitching staff that long. </div>

because he's a Mexican and he's a bad mother17.

Oh yeah- and UK has trouble with Left handers.

Then if we win, start Woodruff on Sun and have him go three. Then go with Reed for two, Bracewell for two and then finish it off with Holder for two.

yet Holder should pitch aGAIN tomorrow after he's already pitched in 3 out of 4 games so far this week and Pollo has had at least one appearance already? I don't get it...

I don't like throwing him on 4 days rest and then turning around and potentially pitching him on 4 days rest again. That's the normal rotation for a professional pitcher, but he hasn't been conditioned for that. By Sunday, the regional sites will have already been determined. We'll either be a host or a high #2 seed no matter what we do. No need to push him.

Pollo, Reed, Holder, and potentially Woodruff? I'm simply challenging your point...<div>
</div><div>I'm honestly curious to see Cohen and Thompson manage our pitching for the remainder of this week? We could potentially have another long week next week and it will be very interesting to see how everything works out. We could have a lot of tired arms come next week... 6 hard games, all against ranked teams (except maybe Vandy) will take a toll on our staff. </div>

And we'll have Woodruff, Stratton and Graveman all with at least 7 days rest for the regional. We'll be OK.

You know that, don't be dumb. Pollo hasn't thrown much, Woodruff doesn't need to pitch again until Sunday, and if it were me Reed and Holder shouldn't throw tomorrow either. Theres a big difference in throwing 90+ pitches at one time and throwing 20+ multiple times. Relievers are used back to back days all the time. Reed threw alot today tho so we should rest him tomorrow, and Holder has now thrown a bunch this tourney so I think he should rest also, although he didn't throw any yesterday.<div>
</div><div>And throwing Chris on Sunday would be on 3 days rest, not 4. He threw Wed, rest Thurs, Fri, Sat, then Sunday would be the 4th day.</div>
