Mount Carmel in preseason polls a lot like Notre dame in preseason polls last 20 years. Only place you will see them ranked. BY third loss of season will be gone again. Good alumni support here to get the unrealistically placed to win state.
More realistic pick could be Richards.
Except in the last 20 years they've won 6 State titles....state title in 17 is unlikely but never count MC out!
Agree with that They won 8A in '12, 7A in '13. In 2015 they lost in a dogfight, 7-0, to eventual 14-0 champs GW who won their next to games handily. And now we're saying they can no longer match up against the likes of Rice, Rita, Montini and Provi? 7-2 and a couple of playoff wins is more likely.
And they went to the semi finals in 2014 before losing to eventual champs Providence. They had sub par year last season, which they still ended up with 9 wins after the prep bowl playoffs beating Rita, Rice and Simeon, and people are saying MC is declining. That's a dream season for a lot of schools.
