reading threads about LSU and who the Rebels were battling The Tigers to get. They battle us formany more recruits than they do LSU, which tells me they are in our league, not LSU's, at least in football. Which means they are thinking a little too highly of themselves by saying LSU is their rival. I doubt most LSU fans could give a rip about Ole Miss. I actually grew up a die-hard Ole Miss fan and actually had a dorm reserved at Twin Towers (Stockard?) my freshman year before switching to State. I lived and died byThe Rebs in all sports. I loved Stan Torgenson, John Fourcade, and even Sean Tuoy(spelling I know) and John Stroud. And not once, ever in my 10-12 years of being a diehard fan did I ever consider anyone else but State to be our(Rebels) rivals. LSU was not in the picture. I think that when you go to Ole Miss, they teach you to think you are better than you actually are, and brainwash you into thinking things that just aren't true, like LSU being your rival. As a former Reb (as embarrassing as that is), I can tell you the LSUrival thing is fantasy, not reality.
