So, why does a 9-win season count for more than 4 or 5 loss seasons

The strongest argument fans can offer for retaining Beamer is that his 9-win season shows he can get the job done.

My question, though, is why do only the good seasons count? If a 9-win season shows he can get it done, doesn't a 4-win season equally show that he can't get it done? Or the 5-win season from 2 years ago?

Because we are South Carolina. We are so ****ing desperate for success that we made a baseball coach AD bc he won baseball championships and we glorify womens basketball for theirs, when deep down we would all be willing to drop the WBB program completely in exchange for 1 football national championship.

Like a desperate drug addict, we will suffer endlessly on the hope of 1 more hit. Maybe nexf year we get another 9 win season, the dealer gave us one before

Was ready to debunk this post but after doing some research on the link above I found that since 1945 we are pretty evenly split between winning seasons and losing seasons with few awful seasons in the last 20 years.
Although im on the side of another year for Beamer I can see the point of just how awful this season is.

This is our worst season in the SEC since 2015 when SOS quit midseason. Before that, you have to go back to 1999.

Are we getting close to being under .500 for our history? In all the changes that have been made over the years I am starting to believe more in relegation. I would prefer to see competitive games again instead of just getting beat down by the same teams each year. Coaches and players earn more, fan costs are less and maybe there is a return of the student athlete. Remember those?
