so why is Veazey so obsessed with Dixon's punishment?

every other blog post/article mentions it. He was arrested, went to court and paid his fine and his 'debt to society.' Does anyone really care anymore?

Seems to me this story is more Sprechen sie Deutsch than the Luffwaffe

So he keeps bumping it to the top of the page.

I suspect Dixon has already paid a price, time to move on.

Something to write about?

That's what he does for a living, you know.

Now, I'm not saying drinking and driving is good but I'd be willing to bet that the only difference between AD and 95% of this board is that he actually got caught. I know when I was at State I drove home past the legal limit. You don't want to condone it but it's not like he killed some kids or sold some drugs or was running an illegal dog fighting operation or anything.

...or that his punishment could be seen as being too light - so he can smear us in the newspaper. I like Veazey, but he does tend to look for mud that can be dug up and smeared around.

I can't imagine how he reacts when he gets scooped on a happening that he has been obsessing over for weeks.

Because he is doing his job asking the questions that the coach doesn't want asked. Trying to see what the new coach has, I'm glad mullen is keeping his ground, I'm sure he is handling it like he said he is. In the end I'm sure we're hear bout the punishment from AD

campus. I really haven't heard whether he will be out any games or not. I know he got out of going to jail.

Nothing specific has ever been said about his punishment. It's his job as the beat writer to get that answer.
