[h=4]Re: ESPN TROY GAME[/h]i called buffalo wild wings and cowbells. they both claim they will have the game on tv. i asked both places if they were sure and they acted like i was a idot for asking twice.
Yes, if you have a computer and hdmi cable you can run it to a tv. I know in Starkville during the regional bww, veranda, and stagger inn all showed the games. Picture is not perfect but better then radio.
Yes, but the rules for ESPN3 are different than normal TV and cable broadcasts. So while a bar can do it, and I'm sure some do, ESPN could sue them. They don't want you being able to go to a bar and watch this. They want you to complain to your Internet provider. Probably impossible to pull off suing all those bars though, so I wouldn't be surprised if people were streaming it.
Just like NFL Sunday Ticket. You are supposed to have a commercial account in an establishment like that and they charge you based on your seating occupancy certificate.
Ever wonder why some bars have it and some don't?
a) They don't have a commercial account
b) They better be damn busy and sell a heck of a lot of alcohol and nachos to break even if they do have a commercial account
But back to the subject at hand... what you said is very true... they want you to complain to your ISP, but in the bar's case many will not because they can't get it at home so why bit the hand that feeds them? Down here there are two beach front sports bars that pay $99 for each of a couple laptops that have the Sunday Ticket outside the U.S. internet package and they hook each to huge tv's or projection screens and play all the games they can each week of the season.
