....but letting a head coach coach in their BCS bowl would make much more sense than letting an easily replaceable position coach stay and coach running backs in the NFL playoffs.

If there's a way the coach could somehow juggle between helping us recruit and getting his team ready for the bowl game, I would have no problem with it...

As much as I like CP (see avatar) our program can't wait thru Dec 'til after New Year's before getting settled in.

Its now or never

Most always the coach does not coach the bowl game when he has taken another job. I can't think of any instance where they have stayed, but there probably are a couple.

We already have a good recruiting class and with his reputation, we should keep them. A few calls by him should do the job. Plus Rocky should be able to make face to face follow ups. But we can't wait for an announcement that it is him AFTER a bowl game. They will all be gone by then.

But I still not getting my hopes up. I think he seriously considered it but declined.

1) Our recruiting is pretty much done. Don't we only need to fill whoever de-commits? That's not many.

2) Isn't dead period coming up in a matter of days? Nothing a coach could do between close to now and January anyway.

Hey, having a coach hang out in Green Bay during the NFL playoffs did wonders for that class.

The NFL playoff go on through Jan. and end in early Feb.- which is around the time of signing day- depending on how their team does.

In college, the season is over Jan. 8. That's plenty of time to recruit, set up official visits, and etc.
