The hot dogs sucked, my cup smelled like ****, and I wasn't enthusiastic about D.J. BullDawg before the run out. But over all I was pleased with everything else. I don't get the bitching and moaning about the unis, Russell, or any of that... I agree with Coach34's blog post 100%.

The few complaints I had are as follows:
a) Can we not scroll some decent (read pertinent and up-to date) score updates.
b) Columbus AF base is right down the road and NAS Meridian is a 20 min flight away, where.the.hell was the fly over??

Props go to:
a) The Famous Maroon Band. I know with the Sonic Boom in town that no one was going to give them a second thought, but they seemed to have stepped it up this year. New unis, a more "corps" style half time show. A couple of tweaks that I think will go a long way with them.
b) The field crew. The turf looks better than it has in years. Good job there... Also, as been mentioned... The brick and fence looked good.

Side note... The ginger with the mullet sitting in front of me needs to be applauded for keeping this 25 year old outdated haircut alive an well. Also the levi 545 jean shorts... VERY NICE!

For your viewing pleasure:

So in summery... I was happy with most everything about the game. Im no "expert" or anything but a 56-9 win when wins were hard to come by a few years ago will generally keep me happy. Also of note, this was the first game I took my 3 year old daughter to and I made it through w/o pulling what hair I have out.... So it was a successfull outing for the Tucker family.

That ginger looks like he has the beginning of a skullet. Nothing better than bald in the front and party in the back.

You know... After reflecting about looking at that haircut for 3 and a half hours last night, where does one even go to get that "style" anymore? How does one ask for that cut? And why doesnt the stylist have the balls to say "ummmm no" when asked to provide that service?

That is definitely a homemade hair cut. His momma probably still hooks him up.

Wasn't there some delay due to lightning? Maybe they called off the flyover with the change in schedule.

I remember seeing on twitter sometime last season that a school is only allowed a certain number of flyover's a year. So that may be the reason why we didn't do one this weekend.

Maybe they cancelled the flyover because they knew the red headed caped crusader was in the area, and didn't want an air accident. Is that guy serious? It looks like he's got flames coming off the back of his neck.

What? Why does it matter if a school has a flyover for every home game or not? And why do they limit it? Whose rule is it?

About the band

I noticed that their drill was pretty hard too. A lot harder than when I was in the band. I just wish the theme of the show was better- not that it was bad- just that I personally didn't care for it.

They also looked huge in number- that's what a winning football program will do for a band. They're going to benefit a lot from the new stadium expansion because then they will have something under them to project the sound forward- they're going to sound a LOT louder next year in the stands.

Schools are limited to the amount of flyovers they can have by I think 2 per service (ex. 2 from Navy, 2 from Air Force...). Probably using those for homecoming and SEC games.

I've honestly never thought the cups smelled. Maybe years of smells on the farm have made me immune to it. I see we have big cups this year too.

I don't know about the smell of the cups but it would surely be nice to have some of those carboard (or paper or whatever they are) drink carriers. It's hard to carry 4 drinks, popcorn, and other stuff back to your family with just your hands.

I heard that the hot dogs tasted terrible but I didn't have one. Judging from the comments I've heard, I'm glad I didn't. Plus I think the price went up on many of the items - I know the price went up on the drinks from $3 (over-priced) to $4 (way over-priced) for about 15 cents worth of product. If we're going to be forced to pay for for concessions, a rational person would have expected them to improve instead of getting worse. It's even worse because we could bring in our own drinks except the gate guards won't allow it - forcing us to have to buy the over-priced drinks from the concession stands and vendors.

Also (speaking of drinks), there are Coke Zero signs plastered all over everything and Coke Zero ads running on the jumbotron. The ironic problem is that they don't keep any Coke Zero for sale at the concession stands (at least at the 1st floor level on the west side). Brilliant.

What was that "clump together" formation they came out in? Thought they were expecting JSU Band to rush them or something. And I agree, fat baton girl has got to go.

The West Side lower level at the North end had both the cardboard drink carriers and Coke Zero. Got both of them before kickoff, so maybe they ran out. Cups didn't smell to anyone in our group. Nobody got a hotdog, though I guess I will Saturday to see for myself.

Actually I was referring to the 1st floor above the ground level on the south end of the west side. And this was before the game even started so I don't think they had run out by that time - they acted like they had never had any in the first place.

We are in Section 106 and that's the closest concession stand to us. Maybe they can get their act together by this weekend.

I don't want my stylist having balls. Just saying.

So "David" from Brookhell has been documented at two of our wins. In honor of "Rally Pat" can we get some suggested names for our good luck mullet. Some suggestion...Mullet Mayhem, Ginger Hail, Skullet Dragging...
