You can tell Biden's heart is just not in it.
Put a young honey in front of his nose and see how quickly he follows. Of course his patting hand and fingers will be fully extended. He's just another dirty old man.

As goofy and as idiotic he can act at times, he'd be a hell of a lot more pragmatic then Obama has been, and would probably work way better with Republicans than Obama has.
I think that Joe is ultimately a deal maker. He has a history of doing that. His problem is that he has to differentiate himself from an unpopular president that he has served under for 8 years.

One thing that old crazy uncle Joe said that was right. In the debate 8yrs ago with Obama he said about Obama," wait until Obama has his first foreign policy crisis and you'll see just how weak he is on foreign policy" Boy was that a truthful understatement.

Yes, and that wouldn't endear him to the base. It turned voters lukewarm against Al Gore -- who was lukewarm enough already -- and handed the White House to Dick - er, I mean W.

Clinton still had a pretty good approval rating and was a great politician. Gore fell for the GOP ploy that Gore would be tied to Clinton scandals, but Clinton's scandals were personal. Unless someone had a stained tie, Gore was clear from that. Ultimately, I think it was Gore's lack of political savvy that cost him that election.

Gore overestimated his contribution to the party. Clinton was the one with the charisma to appeal to people. Gore was only holding down a position without making a contribution. Just a bit arrogant too in running away from Clinton.

I agree that Gore was arrogant. I think that explains his first debate performance. He really was a bad politician. If he plays it smart, he could walk into the WH. He needed to ride Clinton's coat tails and show some basic respect to W in their exchanges. He did neither.
