possibly 10-4 going into SEC. The season can still be salvaged. Sidney dominated against an inferior opponent which is a good sign regardless of competition.

I'm still NCAA Tourney or bust.

Not that they did not deserve it but maybe he is trying to heal was ills the team. I know it was a team with lesser talent but this is the type of game they need to get confident back and get Sidney back to playing shape and skill. I think they will make a run once theyget Dee Bost back. Istill feel goodthat I will win my bet with Coach 34 after all if they are on their game they will run the SEC west off the court and half of the EAST.Other then KY, FL and Tenn the SEC really sucks and those three teams are in theEast. I know it hurts the Stan haters that Sidney had 19 points and Kodi had a Double Double. This was his fifth of the year. They got one more game in this tourney then one in California and then Nevada I think. If they can go undefeated those three games it will be good.</p>

its like the most dysfunctional assembly of college hopefulls ever just trying to wing it. Bost and Sidney: classify them as flight risks at any moment...good talent, shakey pasts, proven off the court liabilities. Kodi, best rebounder, streaky, low bball IQ, maybe low IQ period....Jemmye, enough said. Elgin, just trying to make it to the next game in one piece. Riek, if someone finds Riek's fossil in a few centuries theywill claim he isa seperatehuman species. Twanny, bench warmer forced into a role its obvious is over his head...would sit the bench forsome D-II teams. Benock, a grain of salt in a bowl of pepper...no future in the game after college, butacts like a college athlete should, doesn't hurt team chemistry. Ravern, has something personal against defense, shows up against subpar competition, one of the skinniest D-1 athletes I've maybe ever seen. Just a really odd group that needs special attention in a lot of areas.

Instinctively State fans flock tothe message boards every February to discuss how many more wins are needed to recover from the pre-conference schedule17 ups and receive a NCAA bid. Strangley, this year, the discussion begins in late December. However, in past years, the discussionlast to selection day. I predict this year, the discussion dies mid January.

I blame global warming. All the natural cycles have been moving up in the calendar in the last 10-20 years. Why should this be any different?

Let's just hope he keeps his head in the game. You saw a flash of just how good he is. We should win the next two, the we get Bost back. We will win the West and have a shot to take the SEC overall..

is truly amazing. He is as quick as Rasheed Wallace in the post. Even more impressive tonight was his ability to start the fast break.

We're a different team with Dee Bost on the court. In a good way. We may have a bunch of misfits out there, but we have some guys that can play, at least in the starting five.

Sometimes it takes something crazy like what happened with Renardo the other day to bring everything together.

Just happened to catch a clip of a fight between he and another State player during the Hawaii vs Utah game. Not sure who the other guy was though.

Who started it? If it was Elgin do you say the same? Do we kick off every guy who starts a fight at football practice? Did your favorite coach in HS do THAT?

Football practices are closed and not on national TV...

You know....maybe one them kicked up some dust and told Elgin that "Renardo said you couldn't make a free throw if the game depended on it".....Guess he didn't take it well.

so you only kick them off if it is televised? That is TOTAL BS. That kind of crap happens. I take it as a good sign. From what I had seen I wouldn't have thought this basketball team would have cared about ANYTHING enough to fight over it.

I would get more of an *** whipping as a child if I got in trouble at church versus getting in trouble at home.

Are you high??? Do you realize how embarrassing that is...NATIONAL TV! Yeah fights happen, but in practice it's in a controlled environment where you can handle it. There is a fine line between caring about something and beating the **** out of each other and embarrassing yourself, teammates, coaches, school, and fans. That's unacceptable. I don't care who's fault it was. Everything that has gone wrong off the court so far this year has almost always been Sidney-centered. Your comment is a complete joke.

It would have been the same *** whipping from Dad and that is for SURE. Hell I would let him NOW is he feltthe needand he is in his 80' and I'm in my 40's. Perhaps there is a lesson there for all of us.

Well this is not a life lesson message board...sorry. If this fight on national tv really excites you and is a good sign to you, then you're going loco. You do realize recruits and their families have TVs and they even watch them right??? There is no good that can come from this...no way no how.

that I respect my father that much.A look from him would be and is worse than any "*** whipping" anyone could dish out, even today.

How in the hell does your respect for your father and his looks/*** whippings have anything to do with Sidney and Elgin throwing one hitter quitters at each other? If you were the coach of this team and let them stay on and have it as a positive sign, then you'd make Stansbury look like John Wooden.

but not saying it's the end of the world either. I've seen coaches ENCOUAGE fights amongteamates, at times. Esp whena team has been showing signs of not caring one way or the other. I wouldn'tread much into this positve or negative at this point. It might very well be a sign that they are hopeless. It also might be a sign that they are actually beginning to care what people think about them. It might also be a sign that they are chasing the same girl. You folks arejust going off the deep end before you need to.

A. Let's say we do well the rest of the season and make it to the bubble of the NCAA tournament, well now we are off the bubble and if you don't think the NCAA Selection Committee looks at things like that you're nuts.
B. Rodney Hood and his family have to be wondering why he is committed there right now when this **** goes on...
C. It was NATIONAL TV...they weren't even playing a damn game. They were in the stands, not fighting other teams, but fighting each other.
