Q: Now that Football is officially over what do we have to look forward to? <div>
</div><div>A: The greatest 6 months of the year.</div><div>
</div><div>We've got the champions league leading us all the way the the World cup, which kicks off with a bang next Tuesday (Milan at Man U), an international date with Netherlands which will show us what we got, and a more interesting than usual battle for 1st and 4th in the EPL. It's almost enough to make me forget about the miserable hoops season.</div><div>
</div><div>By the way, did you guys see Altidore's goal against Man City? The wool is growing back.</div>

Our overseas guys are not only finally getting to play(besides GK), but they are contributing. If they can continue to be in the starting 11 fro their clubs up to the WC, then I feel we will most definitely advance from our group.

I'm expecting a loss to England but we should be able to win the other two games.

I find myself growing some thick wool over Donovan's success at Everton. He looked like the only winger attacking for Everton against Liverpool. One thing that doesn't get talked about much is Friedel. Is it possible that he is better than Howard at this point?

Friedel might be older but he looks to be playing much better than Howard.

And it's like somebody flipped a switch on Donovan - he all of a sudden looks like the player he's capable of being. And Altidore scored against Man City too. Baaaaaaa!!!

Jozy needs to be more physical. That is the problem with all of our front-line players. Donovan is so soft. Altidore is not assertive. We need a beast like Rooney or Drogba, Ibra, Toni, Adebayor etc. All the world powers have one of those enforcers up top. Either that or they have someone with just stupid speed and ball control like Messi, Villa or Torres. We just need someone up top to compliment all our finesse players.

Of course, we need a lot of things, but a physical striker and stud wing defender are at the top of my list.

to Jermaine Jones? I know he is injured, but is there a chance he could make it onto the World Cup lineup?

From February 4 - Washington Post

U.S. midfielder Ricardo Clark (calf injury) joins national team regulars Oguchi Onyewu, Clint Dempsey, Charlie Davies and Steve Cherundolo on the sideline, delaying his Eintracht Frankfurt debut by a month. In addition, Maurice Edu, DaMarcus Beasley and Kenny Cooper are recuperating from injuries, and Jermaine Jones, the German-American midfielder at Schalke who pledged his allegiance to the USA, is running out of time to enter the U.S. picture because of a leg ailment
