NBC and NBC Sports Channel (aka Versus) will begin 2 year deal to air MLS games, some playoff games and some US Men's National Team games in 2012. No more Fox Soccer Channel broadcasts.
ESPN will still keep the same contract they currently have for MLS and USMNT.
From an exposure standpoint, it's a great deal for MLS. I have a feeling Seattle and/or Portland will be at least one of the NBC network games next year... And Versus (soon to be NBC Sports Channel) has more reach than FSC as well. Good day for pro soccer in US based on the initial report.
