All those "what rules should change to make soccer better posts" got me thinking.I think the use of technology would certainly help. What would you do to make it better without interrupting the flow of the game?

1- Everytime the ball goes in the back of the net, review the sequence to check for handballs oroffsides. Also check for any flagarent fouls (or lack of).
2-If it is even close- verify the location of the ball in the goal. Stop play if a goal was scored.
3- Verify last touched every time the ball goes out- especially goal/ corner kicks.
4- Police diving. If an Italian player gets kicked in the shin takes 5 steps falls and grabs his head like someonecracked his skull open the "replay official"makes note of it. Continue play as normal, but notifythe particular players at half that they have been "warned". At the end of the game, if said players are caught again on tape they are issued yellow cards post game. Obvious diving could still be carded on the spot. This may not stop it completely, but it'd definately clean things up...

coach gets 2 challenges on goals only. Within the last 10 and in extra time - it's the booths call on goals.

I think all goals should be verified by a replay official. I don't think technology or replay should play any otherpart in the game, except that every goal (or near goal) should be checked by an official in the booth. Heck, there is usually a break in the action anywaywhen one of the teams swarms the ref.

I do, however, like your idea for diving. And endgametime-wasting tactics like walking slowly off the field for a sub/fake injuries requiring a stretcher/goalie taking his time setting up a goal kick need to be discouraged if they get too extreme.
