Looks like they are announcing the new CBA this afternoon

A strike would have been disastrous and essentially killed the league. Hopefully the MLS will seize the opportunity the world cup presents this summer and grab all the new soccer fans. Also, with the NFL and NBA possibly having work stoppages in the future, they have a lot to gain

I figured all along the players wouldn't strike. You're right that a strike would have just about killed the league, and the players aren't so dumb they don't know that. They also aren't so dumb that they know that for the vast majority of them, there's no league even close to MLS that they could play in. Most of their options if they went on strike would be to go play in Mexico or somewhere like that.
