Loss on road didn't hurt Bulldogs in the polls. Up to #10 & #12. But the rest of the SEC schedule so far (other than Tenn & Ark) is taking a toll on the RPI. Down to #21 now. Other than playing the top 2 teams, we caught a real break on the scheduling.

Not bad for a rebuilding year!
Honestly I would have been very happy with mid pack SEC & borderline NCAA tournament appearance. We’ve got a real good chance for 3rd in the conference & possibly hosting a regional. It’s just so difficult to replace 7 starters who are now playing professionally at various levels.
You know, I have not watched much, but I'm a big fan of our girls.
That goes for soccer and volleyball. I was a fan of our girls' basketball team in the day when it wasn't cool, and Sharon was the coach. She was a charming lady.

Sharon Fanning doesn’t get the credit she deserves. She took over a program that was last in the SEC virtually every year & went to 6 NCAA tournaments and a sweet 16. She built the foundation that subsequent coaches built on.
We were going to games pulling for Sharon and the team. She was a difference maker and still is involved with State.
