Let me first be clear on my stance. It needs revamping.
But I called them at 1:42 p.m. Wait time estimated at 70 mins.
I was given the option for a call back. I took it. I received a text message immediately. I received another one at 2:24 saying id get a call in 25 mins.
At 2:54 p.m. the SS office called me back. A real live person was on the phone. She answered my questions. She emailed me a link to what i needed. Very friendly.
Social security needs to be revamped but this interaction was EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE.
