Softball Game Set For Friday MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (August 19, 2015) – Mountaineer fans are invited to Monongalia County Ballpark on Friday, Aug. 21 for the second annual WVU men’s basketball charity slow pitch softball game. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will feature the WVU men’s basketball staff (coaches, support staff and managers) against the current WVU men’s basketball team. The basketball staff will be managed by Bob Huggins while the men’s team will be managed by Randy Mazey and his baseball staff. Admission will be $3 at the gate. WVU students will be admitted free with a valid ID, courtesy of Little General Stores. All proceeds will be donated to the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Research Endowment. “Everyone enjoyed the first softball game last year, and this is a great opportunity for our basketball program to have a little fun to kick off the school year while also raising money for a good cause,” said Huggins. “With some new faces on this year’s team, it is also a good opportunity for Mountaineer fans to come out to see our team in person for the first time if they didn’t attend the games in the Bahamas.” Last year, the basketball staff defeated the men’s basketball team at Hawley Field by a score of 16-12.
