missing the SEC tournament. Great sweep this weekend but we are still down towards the bottom of the SEC and have a big series with Auburn to get passed. It may come down to the winner of that series gets to the SEC tournament.

She has done a good job but just like with all coaches, it does not happen over one or two seasons unless your team is packed with top notch athletes.

South Carolina, Arkansas and Ole Miss will miss the cut

Top eight teams (out of 11) make the tournament

MSU is 7-1 against those bottom three and own the tie-breaker on each

Two wins in the final six conference games will clinch it ... and actually one might do it with some help

that it would come down to the next few series with an emphasis on Auburn. (Yes, I watched the softball game today, laugh if you want)

My point really was that we are not some powerhouse in softball all of the sudden because we hired a new coach. We are still in the bottom half of the SEC.

On a side note, did anyone else watch the game? Ole Miss has a beast playing 1st base that is going to hurt somebody.

However, both 2010 and 2011 = losing season and no regional

In 2012, we will have a winning season, make the SEC Tournament and play in a regional (RPI is No. 33 at this moment)

MSU has 11 true road wins, which is fourth in the nation ... Should get No. 12 Tuesday in Hattiesburg

So that is a very nice turnaround by the first year coach

we had a pitcher transfer with her coach. They spoke about her as an ace. Wonder how big of an impact she has had. Something I learned today that I did not know was that these girls that pitch can pitch back to back games or as many games a week as they are needed. Supposedly, the pitching motion puts no stress on your shoulder and you do not require rest. That may be common knowledge but I had no clue that was the case.

is on our coaching staff now. She was a four time AA at Bama, when Vann was the pitching coach there. Like I said earlier, it is not going to take Vann four years to get this going in the right direction. You can make of that what you want to.

Why were these girls out playing a game on a Sunday afternoon, when they should've been home helping their mothers get lunch ready after church? Of course, if they were the "Sunday is Sabbath" types, they could've helped their mothers fix Sunday lunch last night (however, I have a horribly sneaky feeling that these girls begged out of their duties to play games with other girls).

This "girls winning at sports" stuff has got to stop. When they start winning, they begin deriving their self-esteem from something other than serving their family/pleasing their husband. When they're disconnected from their family, they begin to think independently. When they begin to think independently, they begin to think they're winners. When they begin to think they're winners, they go to Las Vegas. When they go to Vegas, they lose everything. When they lose everything, they have to selltheir hair, give plasma, and become call girls. DON'T LET OUR MSU COEDS BECOME CALL GIRLS.
