I agree about calling the strike zone like it should be. I've said that for years about MLB and College baseball and we are seeing it change with ABS. I have no doubt that the pitchers would adapt. I'm not talking about moving it 10 feet. Also the basepaths need to be lengthened and the fence moved back. The dimensions were set when the girls were nowhere nearly as athletic or as strong.
This is just happening in the post season. Regular season the zone is bigger. It's no different than what they do with baseball really. Do I like it? Not really, but only because it hurts our pitching staff who works the lower zone a lot.

This is all just opinion. It’s like me watching a baseball game and saying we need make the ball one inch smaller and make it pink, move the mound to 70 feet, base paths to 110 feet and center field to 600 feet. Why? Makes no sense whatsoever. I know we are entitled to our opinions and I respect that.

I’ve already explained why I think softball is a much more exciting game. I am FAR from alone and the sport is growing by leaps and bounds. Why change it up now?

Maybe baseball should adjust itself? There’s tons of empty seats in most games these days. A lot of folks consider it extremely boring. Maybe it should implement the changes I’ve proposed?

They should just set the fences at 250. An HR should be special.

It would help to expand the strike zone.

We saw General baseball go through this... I wonder if softball will have the same reaction? I would not be surprised to see the fences go back.
Fences should go back to around 250' IMO. Some baseball parks including ours need to move certain sections back further also.

At 250, there would be 10 home runs a season. Ticket sales would plummet.
I would buy season tickets for the first time if there were substantially less HRs. Love defense, base-hitting, and especially great pitching. Would love to see more no-hitters thrown too. And I really don't like the fact that a 305' grand slam can be hit our our beloved baseball park.....thanks Cohen!

I think baseball should require the players to wear dresses. I think it would give the sport a temporary boost in ratings.

Haha all kidding aside, I think most people want to see more offense. I wouldn’t change a thing about the sport. Maybe a full time ABS.
This is ultimately the correct answer. I love it as is. Fix the plate ump / add ABS. That’ll be the medicine that corrects a lot of issues.

If it gets to the point where every team is blasting HRs every single at bat and scores were 50-45 and games took 6 hrs… I’d be in complete agreement to maybe move fences, adjust ball etc… we see nothing like that currently. 7 innings and scores like they are absolutely perfect.
