Barring major injuries just can't see that happening. That said, us natives will definitely become very restless should your vision in the fire come to fruition (no chance).
You don’t think there is any scenario barring injury where we finish behind PSU, OSU, tOSU, ISU and Nebraska? I wish I could say the same.

Stop it. This tourney exists by the grace of the Iowa wrestling program. The rest is just details.
Iowa doesn’t host this tournament.
In other news, Brooklyn Decker has never turned me down for a date.
That was then and this is now. If I understand it correctly, Iowa is not necessarily in bed with the organizers of this tournament. Iowa has no allegiance to carry it. Love how nobody blames Sanderson with the injuries to Nagao or Barr but if a Hawk gets injured it’s all Brands’ fault. Can’t have it both ways.

I didn’t say there are no scenarios possible; however I do think barring major injury that’s very unlikely.
Its early but the LR guys are worrisome, not sure yet if there is even points there. Drake has a really tough weight this year. Ferrari Im leaning champ but with that top 4, he could be 4th if things fall there way. I know you said barring injuries but just saying Keuter needs to get healthy.
I too am a bit worried about the LR duo, especially Bailey. I see him as a R12 guy or even a 1-2 guy barring some new motivation. I’m feeling much better about JW…if he’s healthy I like his chances at a mid AA and likely a couple bonus points. Also concur with your stance WRT Drake and BK. As for AF, I just don’t think anyone can’t beat him unless he trips on the mat. Looking forward to the next 3 months!!
Nothing says improvement quite like an 8-6 win over UNI’s backup. Fit him for a medal, folks.
Regarding Iowa in sixth...
Right now I have Iowa third with 102.8 points based on Flo rankings. The sixth place team is NC State on 71.9 points (Nebraska currently projects in 7th).
For Iowa to fall below NC State comes in at about a 5.7% probability. Pretty remote.

Yep...and Spencer Lee got pinned by the Okie State guy on his way to an NCAA championship. Again, I feel much better about JW and see him AAing.

There is probably a good reason that the 2 LR transfers are the only two starters wrestling this weekend.
At this point I’d rather watch kale at 41, at least he won’t quit out there. That was an embarrassing effort by Nasir. Need a new answer for 41 next year. Maybe Nasir would be better at 33 and can replace Drake for a year but him at 41 has been awful
Jordan Williams solid 8-2 win over a 20ish ranked guy. 2 takedowns and a 1:30 of RT in the first period.

I’m not sure how his conditioning will be better down a weight.
Was his conditioning this bad last year down at 133? He looks like a shell of himself.
Both yesterday and today he had rough 1st matches after weigh in. I am wondering if weight control was an issue over the holidays. He definitely doesn’t look small to me.
I think they meet up in consis next if Bailey even goes. He is either seriously hurt or no motivation for wrestling and conditioning. Id rather see Kale, neither is scoring points probably at Nattys.
It won’t but his strength was a huge advantage at 33 and a big part of his success. Doesn’t seem like it’s a big advantage at 41 but either way his gas tank will still be bad. He definitely looked better at 33 than he has at 41 though
He has been gassed after the 1st minute much of the year.
