Solution to the cowbell issue

<p style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt" class="MsoNormal"><font face="Calibri">First let me say that the whole debate within the SEC about artificial noise makers is laughable.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>I mean being lectured by the SEC office about breaking the rules is like getting a lesson in human rights from Joseph Stalin.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>This conference has in its long history perfected the art of breaking every NCAA rule created.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>I would guess that half the rules on the NCAA books are in response to something an SEC school did.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>With all of the academic fraud, creatively (and sometimes straight out) buying players, and a recruiting machine that is designed to bend and break every rule enacted loud noise is the issue that the SEC has determined to stamp out.</font></p>

</p><p style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt" class="MsoNormal"><font face="Calibri">Since the SEC is all about providing a level and fair playing field for every team here is the solution.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Place a decibel meter on each playing field in the conference.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>That way if the noise level reaches the predetermined threshold, the home team can be punished.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>I mean noise is noise and fair is fair, right?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>The SEC will then be able to be famous not only for its blatant cheating and national championships; it can be famous for having the quietest most hospitable stadiums in the country.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>You could even have a sliding scale.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>For example, the early kick offs could have a lower noise threshold in consideration of all the students with hangovers.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Night games could be a little louder.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>What do you say Mr. Slive?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Ready to level the playing field? </font></p>

When has an NCAA rule stopped the SEC? Seriously, I know this would never happen, the big boys of the conference would not allow their stadium noise to be muffled. We will just go back to sneaking them in like we have done for years. It just seems odd that the SEC seems to be the only conference where the cowbells bother people enough to whine constantly about them.
