prediction that we will lose on our home court to Ole Miss in February given :

We have a higher rpi according to their website
We beat them on their court.

Here is the link.

http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_360_Men.html

You might have to click on the school name (either Mississippi or Mississippi State) to see what it is projecting as the future scores.

Coach, you wouldnt be running that website would you?

because Arkansas is at 217 in the RPI. A home loss to them would drop our RPI like a rock. In fact, our RPI is going to drop after tonight even if we win because of their pathetic rating.

The Pomeroy rankings have us favored to win every game except at Vanderbilt (which he does give us a 39% chance of winning)

We have a 97% chance of winning tonight and a 92% chance Sunday. Other 90+% chances include LSU (97%), Auburn (95%). at LSU and at Arkansas are both 89%. Kentucky is 61% in our favor, for what it is worth.

It is projected that we will need 71 points to win tonight.

also said that UK would go 11-5 in the SEC this year. I may eat crow for this, but I just don't see it 17'n happening. UK will win 14 games minumum in the SEC.

Edited for typo.

the front page shows us losing by a point, but when it pops up, shows us winning by a point 78-77.

Like someone said, it's the whole power rating they use, because even realtimeRPI realizes that the RPI is a very flawed rating system.

I tend to favor Pomeroy's projections most times, but either way, they are just projections.

On a sort of related note, at least for one night, they were very good on their projection with us. They had us projected to beat UGA 79-75. We won 80-76. That's dumb luck more than anything, but I saw that projection this morning and thought it was odd that it was so close to what actually happened.

He said it would take 76 points for us to beat y'all Saturday. You scored 75. His formula is the most complex, but the most detailed.

if i understand it correctly(which i doubt i do) if you make it to the NCAA then the rpi affects your seeding and we have to play Arkansas twice so how is that fair. I know this will open the whole OCC strength crap again but should you be penalized for bad conference teams that you have no choice on playing?
