just said he has no idea if Mississippi State is a top 15 team or a top 35 team based on our body of work thus far. He was not at all impressed with State's opponents thus far. He said there are at least 50 teams in America that would be 6-0 if they played our schedule.

50? Really? I agree that we have not played a great schedule, but 50? The Tennessee win apparently meant nothing. Apparently we still haven't played anybody. UT equals Troy. Dan needs to remember this in our recruiting battles against UT.

if we want respect we have to beat a team with a winning record. beat bama and we will get all the kudos you can handle.

While I agree we haven't played a hard schedule...

....I find it hilarious that a lot of people were picking. Tennessee to win this game, and when we did, well it is obvious they suck. All you can do is beat the teams in front of you.

Agree, but who the heck in all of Amerika would be expected to roll into Tuscaloosa and defeat Bama at home? Should State lose to Bama, the national media will try the old "see, I told you so" routine. Remember that that apparently shitastic Volunteer team defeated NC State who defeated media darling FSU.

I would say there's more like 20 teams that would be 6-0 with our schedule.

In all honesty, Tennessee is a top 30-35 team right now. They are about where we were last year in that regard. Who have they lost to? #2 at home, #11 on the road, and #12 on the road? What does that tell you about them? Chances are they will lose 2 more the next two weeks... to #1 at home and #7 on the road. Then they will win their final 4 games and a bowl game to finish 4th or 5th outside the top 25 in the final polls...

state fans need to get over the "woe is me" ****. if we win some games against teams that are highly regarded we will be highly regarded. until then, we wont. its that simple.

We all knew this schedule was heavy at the end. We said 7-0 was a very real possibility. What we didn't know was that Auburn was going to be this bad. So we play who we play. You keep winning - you shut people up.

10 wins is now a realistic expectation. Looking at the remainder of the schedule, we should be favored in all the games except LSU and Bama.

Tenn. is not a bad football team. They have lost to 3 teams with a combined record of 17-1. Put them in other conferences and they are in the top 3-4 teams in those conf.

I agree about TN. They are decent. But the fact we are staring 7-0 in the face is something all of us thought could happen given the way the schedule set up.

As we said all preseason, this schedule set up perfectly for us.

They are good enough that if Saturday's night game had been in Knoxville IMO there would have been a significantly greater than 50-50 chance we would have lost.

I think it depends on how competitive we are with them. No one expects us to beat them, but most expect us to get beat badly by them. Why? Because we haven't played anybody and we haven't blowed anybody out that we have played. Of course, who has bama played? Michigan, who was very overrated and still is. There best opponent has been either missouri or Western Ky. I think they played western ky, anyway that is it. The difference is, they dominated those teams while we experimented with younger players trying to build depth.

I think they are good enough to give bama fits. They may not can beat them, but it is a rivalry game and I think they compete with bama. Bama hasn't really been tested, but I thin ut will test them
