I will take notice after they start winning conference championships again. For now, they're just delirious.

The Big 12 needs BOTH Oklahoma and Texas to be elite for the sake and credibility of the conference.
In all fairness to West Virginia, TCU and O-State, it's Texas that needs to bring itself up to Oklahoma's level the most.
My ideal "perfect world" scenario is for both teams to be powerhouses, but with OU winning most of the games in the RRR.
With Murray now gone and Texas coming off what might be a momentum-building bowl win....even over a good but flawed Georgia team....parity within the Big 12 may be at hand in 2019.

I've always thought OU benefits from beating a legit Texass team each year. I still love the idea of Texass losing though. So it's a rock and a hard place for me to be in. :D:D

I get that a stronger texas team is better for the conference, but I'd prefer it be one of the other B12 schools that represented the conference in the top 10. Sure, it would take some of the luster away from the RRS, but I don't mind seeing texas lose multiple games every season and getting passed over on the national stage by the likes of OSU, Baylor or TCU.

Big 12 is trending downwards so it comes down us and the Shorthorns to shed any respectability on to the National stage. I cannot see any team below us two...aside from Iowa State that could be 8-4 or better in 2019.

No other Texas team comes close to equaling the legacy of Texas, not even ATM.....who took its inferiority complex to the SEC so it could wallow in Alabama's shadow.
Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech are window dressing programs that only occasionally have good seasons.
As much as I dislike Texas, its name brand is a necessary evil in pimping the Big 12 as a conference. That's just the reality of it.
