I had been a long time member of this site and took a few years off. I come back and start reading again and some things just don't change. Reading through the game day chat and seeing what some of these "so-called" UK fans post is pretty sad. Don't miss it a bit. How the Mods do not choose to ban some of these children is sad as well.

It's a message board. It's meant for people to discuss what's on their minds. Just because people aren't happy doesn't mean they aren't fans. You should probably head back to where you came from with that BS.
Exactly. Member for years, took a few years off, picked now to come back and share his disappointment in everyone venting after a disastrous loss, and public display of dissention. Maybe OP should take a few more years off, as message boards seem too tough for him.
Yes, getting mad and saying negative things after a loss on a message board means you arent a fan. No schools have very many fans at all.
You must think pretty highly of yourself to believe that you have the ability to determine the good fans from the bad ones.
If complaining about being outcoached on the regular despite MASSIVE talent gaps makes me a bad fan, then so be it. I'm a bad fan.
Especially by Rick Barnes. And Cal has been outcoached by Barnes since he arrived at Tennessee.
Cal clearly does more right than wrong. But it’s okay to criticize him when we lose a 17 point second half lead on senior day to a team that was 16-13.
I'm not a member of the sunshine pumpers or the legion of doom. I'm somewhere in the middle. But it irks me when people call out others as being bad fans because they have an opinion one way or the other. We all love UK sports. We just have different views on how well the program is progressing.
It’s okay to be optimistic, it’s also okay to criticize cal. The sunshine pumpers are as bad as the negative Nancy’s. They are the same fan, the worst.

We do have an obnoxious amount of trolls (not talking about justified criticism) on this board anymore. It was so nice here when we were on our winning streak. They were either absent or as quite as church mice. Unfortunately, the longer the winning streak lasts, the more their venom seems to build up like a pressure cooker, and BOOM an asinine amount of needless criticism, and the attacking of certain players through rumors and innuendo. I get rational criticism.. I do. but some seem to be personally mad, like some kids losing a game is an affront to them. And as far as the trolls go, I'm frankly just more offended about how obvious they have become about it. It's lazy. Hone your craft! Some school's boards (a dirty bird worshipping one)
ban everyone and anyone who doesn't parrot the doctrine of fanhood, and thus only have a dozen or so posters. And this board, allows lots of fans and people to freely discuss which is great! I mean other fans come here just to discus sports because their school's board is dead. But I do think Rafters may be a little to liberal with this policy and it's starting to become like Lord of the Flies over here.
