....why Kiffin is a better hire than Mullen. I just don't see it.
Did Kiffin even call plays at USC three years ago? Is Kiffin known as some kind of great recruiter? Are we supposed to be impressed because crazy old Al Davis turned his terrible NFL franchise over to him? Are we supposed to be impressed with the results (5-15)?
Mullen may be a flop, and I think everybody on this board had people higher up the list, but I just don't get the Kiffin fascination. At the end of the day, and I am trying my best to look at this without maroon glasses on, but I think in a year when there were three Head Coaching vacancies in the SEC, we will have made the better hire over UT and Auburn (because the names floating around down there are not that impressive at this point).
