Bruce Feldman tweeted that if Tulane fires Toledo that Frank Wilson is a strong candidate. I remember he was on Mullen's staff for 17 days and then left to join Orgeron and Kiffin at UT. And there was a story floating around about Mullen, when he found out Wilson possibly recruiting players for UT while still with us, made him take off all his MSU gear and turn in the keys to his MSU car and walk home in a pair of gym shorts. Am I on target with this?

That is my favorite Mullen story, by far. I am sad I hadn't ever heard that rumor prior to now. Thanks you for sharing.
Props to Mullen.

Larry Porter, Mike Locksley, Ed Orgeron, etc....guys who develop reputations as top-notch recruiters but as head coaches, they have no clue. Next thing you know, some school out there (UAB perhaps?) will hire an idiot like Trooper Taylor as head coach, simply based on his "legendary" recruiting exploits at Auburn.

and Frank Wilson was one of them, so I'm sure it is coming from him or someone on that staff probably promoting themselves for the job. Feldman as much as anyone else was responsible for the overhyping of Orgeron's recruting.

I ate lunch at home today and the news was broadcast at noon. I know about Frank Wilson because of his experience down here in Louisiana.
I've heard from too many different sources how dirty he is, i.e.recruiting.

at ULL than Tulane. At Tulane, the coarch is not the problem. The problem is the same as it is at Vandy, only maybe worse.
