And Diamond’s no movement fastball on the out half allowing Dubrule to not only make contact but take it the other way. So yes, he came up big against their bull pen. He and Hatcher were over- matched against Hoglund like they both are against most SEC starters.

The melt on the Spirit due to Bianco’s late inning PH moves and bringing Diamond in with the game still in doubt has to be priceless.

Where would you prefer a pitcher to put his 95 ,mph fastball... Down the middle? It was a good ab. Also, it's no shame to be overmatched by Hoglund... He leads the league in strikeouts, everyone other than TA and KJ were overmatched by Hoglund last night.

I wouldn't put Dubrule anywhere near the bucket Hatcher is in right now. He plays a premium defensive position and is been a good glove man with only 2 errors all season even though he leads the team in assists. He's hitting .260 with a .705 OPS (Skinner who's apparently not getting lumped into the struggle bucket with these other 2 is now hitting .216 with a .708 OPS.) I like a Leggett platoon against lefty starters with Dubrule coming in later in the game for defense...

Hatcher on the other hand needs a week off to figure something out. It would be nice to have Landon Jordan to plug in somewhere, to help cover for Hatcher while he goes to spend a week in Tibet searching for the meaning of life...

Most SEC hitters are overmatched vs. Hoglund. All but two of Arkansas’ lineup went 0 for against him. They scored 6 runs after they took him out and won 7-3.
