why USM's WR's can catch and ours can not? I think Pat freaking Washington is their WR coach over there, so spare me the Croom sucks arguement.

And it's not just DeAndre Brown, they all can catch.

after a rousing victory over a decimated CUSA team that they had "arrived" and they didn't need to really work for it any more. If I'm coach and my "stars" can't catch a damn pass I think I'm going to put in some backups and see if someone wants to earn a position. Maybe USM does that so the "stars" decided they don't want to drop them?

but teaching them to catch the ball is not really the job of the WR coach- if they can't 17'ing catch, it's on the WR and he needs to become a DB or learn how to block really well...there are some little things you can teach them to help a little, but either they have good hand-eye coordination and can catch it or they can't for the most part

a WR coach teaches them how to run routes properly, footwork, positioning, how to read coverages, proper blocking techniques, how to set up DB's...a college WR can either catch or he cant for the most part

jacking him hard early will take him out of the game. I've not personally observed this because I never saw him play back then. But, since he's been at MSU I've noticed him several times step out of bounds as opposed to take on a tackler for an extra yard or two. He may be coached to do that, but I doubt it given how Mullen has his skill guys (even QBs) doing OK drill before games.
