None of the offensive lineman we signed today, according to scout, had any other sec offers. I haven't looked at prior years but it concerns me given that it all starts and ends on the offensive line. If we want to start competing with bama lsu we need guys that can bulldoze their 4 and 5 star defensive tackles.

Overall this class is ok, glad we got thomas and harris and greene and williams.

We had zero trouble moving the ball on the ground and through the air against those teams as long as Dak was in the game. Didn't have trouble moving the ball against anybody in reality.

None of our starting 5 -- nor top 8 OL -- had any SEC offers I don't believe. There's a couple of 2* no-offer academy boys included there as well. Our overall unit should easily be in the top half of the league if we transition well at right tackle -- and most of those guys will get a cup of coffee at the next level, while a couple have elite potential.

In the Mullen era, guys we get with multiple SEC offers are far more likely to be busts for us on the OL. I know it's backwards and counter intuitive -- but it's been true so far.

You know how you combat a weak O-Line? With a mobile QB, and we've got 4 of them. But, our O-Line is far from weak. We're fine. Hevesy may be a basket case sometimes, but he's actually done a fairly good job of developing guys.

That's bold.

You want to know how to make sure you your mobile QB doesn't make it through the season? That's right - a weak O-Line. But hey, we've got 4 of them.**

I'll give you the development argument. But the O-Line is closer to weak than dominant. It showed in the RB production.

Bold? It's reality. It already happened. It's not a prediction -- I've already seen it.

I saw it too. For starters, 2nd half LSU. For that matter, 2nd half against almost everybody - except against one of the worst defenses in the leagues @ TAMU in the 4th QTR, when they had the game well in hand.

Do me a favor and watch the Kentucky,

South Carolina, and Auburn game again. Healthy Dak, offense poo pooed all over the field. In fact, the only SEC games where Dak was effective moving the offense was against the Aggies and Ole Miss. He was ok against LSU, but it was Russell that showed out in that one. I'm sold on Dak but I'm not sold on ANYTHING we do up front against a SEC defense. Our play calling is still horrendous we just have Dak. See the Texas A and M game. Aggies always had someone in position to tackle Dak. It's hard to tackle superman though. That performance wasn't scheme just Dak.

Ah -- so we've got a good OL -- but only for a half huh?**

I hear you, but our staff made an adjustment at halftime of the South Carolina game that put Clausell basically on an island with Clowney - and I didn't hear Clowney's name called much that game.

Dak can mask alot of flaws up front.
