Something I wish our offense did

There were a couple of plays today where McRae had the corner beat down the sidelines with no safety over the top for what could have been a deep pass, but he hitched it back to the sidelines for about a 10 yard gain. Why in the world do we not make that an option route, where he can go deep or come back.... would that make too much sense?

We do that route a lot and the ball is thrown before the receiver hooks. Its a timing route. I'm not sure how that play could change in the fly.

But since we run that so much, with success even, I wish we'd double-move that play, pump fake, and burn somebody deep.
