Next year's roster at QB we will have a guy (Russell) who won the 6A State Title in Mississippi, a guy (Schueesler) who won the 6A State Title in Georgia, a guy (Sandberg) that won the 6A State Title in Florida, and a guy (Dak) that went undefeated in the regular season but lost in the quarterfinals of the 4A Louisiana State Playoffs. Lot's of winners at a winner's position.

You gotta at least shake your head and chuckle a little at what Mullen inherited at QB in Lee/Relf and what he will have on campus next year with Russell/Dak/Schuessler/Sandberg.

A guy on the Ole Miss Rivals board...and I know I should consider the source here...says that the new QB commit for you guys is a major baseball prospect and that he's likely to get a big offer in the draft next year. Just wondering about the veracity of that.

but likely won't be drafted near high enough for it to be a factor. Sandberg also stated that he's only going to focus on football in college.

But yes he will be more likely drafted. New MLB rookie signing rules make this easier than it has in the past. Example Anthony Alford. He is a huge get for Mullen and the program. Our depth is pretty exciting.

Just wondered. Seems like more and more of the QB types these days we all have to worry about with MLB.

Seriously not trying to troll here. I know that I'm going to get spin from other Ole Miss fans and just wanted the take of a State fan. Thanks again.

Nothing really change did it other then going from 5A to 6A. Don't they pretty much play the same schedule in both the regular and post season?

From the CL Blog comments... Cord looks to be the real deal..

Cord
completed 72% of his passes, was 7A player of the year in Florida,
QB'ed his team to a 7A State championship and the #8 national ranking at
the end of last season. His team is currently the pre-season #1 team
in the country according to Maxpreps.

If you go back to his Sophomore season, he completed 75% of his
passes and had a better QB ranking. Cord is 26-3 as a starter during
his So and Jr years.

Simply put, he's played against the best talent in the country and he's won.
